Background on Margaret Chadwick MIEx (Grad), founder of CHADWICK EXPORT SERVICES LTD.
I started Chadwick Export Services back in 1997, having previously worked for a Cambridgeshire Scientific Instrument Manufacturer for some 18 years, and previous to that working in London. The aim of Chadwick Export Services was to provide a hands-on solution to those experiencing problems with export & import documentation. As our customer base grew, I recruited a small team of like minded enthusiastic experts, and went Limited in 2003.
Specialising in Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, ATA Carnets etc, our keen eye for detail offers a reassuring and invaluable helping hand, for those new to export and experienced overworked ones too !
For those happy doing their own documentation, but occasionally needing instant expert advice, we also run our helpline service (0906 586 2017—weekdays 9.30am to 5pm @60p/min) - we’re on hand to steer you in the right direction to ensure you comply with all the relevant rules and regulations. Our specialist team are always happy to help and advise.
Continuing on the advisory theme, I find I now spend much of my time teaching—both in-house and at Chambers of Commerce across the country—covering all aspects of export & import, including incoterms, tariff, commodity codes, intrastat, SAD/C88, i.p.r., duties & vat, etc.
I am a keen supporter of local events, giving something back to the Community by sitting on various local committees, and presenting at a variety of International Trade Events in our East Anglia Region. Am also a proud member of the CPG (Customs Practitioners Group) providing an advance insight into changes within HMRC.
Goals :
To develop further with collaborative local events to highlight relevant current issues, and continuing joint presentations with local Businesses, Banks, Solicitors and associated Financial Institutions, including UKT&I . Also to continue contributing on various local business committees, it's amazing how much you can gain, whilst taking the time to give back !
Specialities:
Letters of Credit will always be our most favoured speciality. Although Training comes a close second these days. Especially the hot topic of educating businesses on the Customs changes on the horizon with regard to the MCC (Modernised Customs Code). Contact us for more details !
